Here at JCMK we feature a lot of places and activities for kids, but today we want to shine a light on a place for adults too. Jersey City Ballroom's motto is that dance makes life better. We had the opportunity to visit their studio located in the Brunswick Center, downtown Jersey City. Jersey City Ballroom is run by the dynamic husband and wife team Shimkiri and Werner. Both are professional Latin ballroom dance champions and performers. The studio specializes in Latin, ballroom, salsa, swing, tango and wedding dance lessons for all ages, children to adults.
Group Classes
Pursue your dance resolutions! They offer an all-star lineup of group classes from beginner classes for those starting out to advanced group sessions that will make you sweat. Take the class with a friend, significant other, or go solo! Group class partners rotate so you'll make a few friends too.
Private Lessons
Get individual and personalized instruction from their top instructors for that extra mile of dance improvement. Whether you're just starting out and want to put your best foot forward, looking for a chance to spend quality time with your significant other, or aiming to perform and compete at the highest level, they are here for you. Again, you are welcome to attend with a partner but it's not required.
Wedding Dances
They have been awarded the Best of Weddings 2017 title by The Knot. Know anyone getting married soon? From natural, romantic first dances to fully choreographed show-stoppers, they would love to help them make their wedding dance a moment to remember.
Kids Classes
